“Red” by Ruud Janssen (Breda, Netherlands) (2018)
Ruud Janssen is an Asemic Front contributor whose work is already familiar to many readers either via the Eternal Network or through previous posts. He is a great supporter (in many ways!) of the asemic writing group at the IUOMA, which is another center for the Asemic Front project. Ruud Janssen is also showing a strong affinity to the current asemic writing movement, and I am very fortunate to be able to include his art.
This colorful work employs the cut-up technique (relatively unusual for Ruud Janssen) to create deconstructive asemics, concrete poetry in its most elemental sense and otherwise fascinating juxtapositions and chance operations. Like much current visual poetry, collage is a pronounced element.
